Oracle WebLogic Server is an Oracle Strategic Product. Architects and Administrators who are familiar with Oracle Web Server will need to learn how to deploy, manage and maintain thier Oracle WebLogic Server Environment. At February's meeting Vinod Vydier will provide an Introduction to Oracle WebLogic Server. The idea is to provide the user group with some free training and best practices on Oracle WebLogic Server. Vinod spent several years working at BEA and has years of practical experience designing BEA systems. Even though we say introduction we have included two sessions which should appeal to seasoned WebLogic Administrators. We will review Web Logic Operations control (a little known tool included in WebLogic server which makes management of Web Logic easier) and an intro to WSLT -- BEA's cool web Scripting language.

The current Agenda is

1. The WebLogic Architecture and Concepts.

2. What current Oracle Application Server Customers need to know

3. Designing an easy to manage WebLogic Infrastructure

4. Using Web Logic Operations Control to manage WebLogic Server

5. Introduction to WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST). WLST is a EXTREMELY COOL command-line scripting interface that system administrators and operators use to monitor and manage WebLogic Server instances and domains.

Both Novice and seasoned Web Logic Administrators will learn a trick or two...or three! So come learn something new or come and share your experience and knowledge about what works well (and what doesn't!).

Welcome to the Oracle Missouri Middleware Users Group Official WebSite (and Wiki). Here members can collaborate, share content on Oracle-Related topics, and keep abreast on local events.

We have Web 2.0 Enabled the website. The new site is now more collaborative and will allow everyone to become acclimated to Wiki's RSS Feeds, and other Web 2.0 technologies. (Plus it is pretty cool to play around with). You can do this and more using Oracle Portal, and Oracle WebCenter.

Oracle is providing this wiki so that customers and partners (and anyone else interested in Oracle) can collaboratively create and share content that is helpful to the community at large--whether installation guides and tips, project documentation, technical notes, or anything else (appropriate) that captures your imagination.

2. What isn't the Oracle Wiki?
The Oracle Wiki is not a platform for political views/opinions or shameless self-promotion (get a blog for that). It's not a bulletin board or Q&A forum (see a discussion forum for that). And it's not a place to seek or obtain support (visit MetaLink for that). (See the Rules of Conduct for more details.)

3. Who can contribute?
Anyone with something interesting to say about Oracle products and technologies or standards associated with Oracle can create content here, as long as you comply with the Rules of Conduct.

4. What role do the moderators play?
The mods are here to ensure that everyone abides by the Rules of Conduct, to remove pages that violate them (or are duplicative), and to move pages based on community recommendations.
