Oracle WebLogic Server is an Oracle Strategic Product. Architects and Administrators who are familiar with Oracle Web Server will need to learn how to deploy, manage and maintain thier Oracle WebLogic Server Environment. At February's meeting Vinod Vydier will provide an Introduction to Oracle WebLogic Server. The idea is to provide the user group with some free training and best practices on Oracle WebLogic Server. Vinod spent several years working at BEA and has years of practical experience designing BEA systems. Even though we say introduction we have included two sessions which should appeal to seasoned WebLogic Administrators. We will review Web Logic Operations control (a little known tool included in WebLogic server which makes management of Web Logic easier) and an intro to WSLT -- BEA's cool web Scripting language.

The current Agenda is

1. The WebLogic Architecture and Concepts.

2. What current Oracle Application Server Customers need to know

3. Designing an easy to manage WebLogic Infrastructure

4. Using Web Logic Operations Control to manage WebLogic Server

5. Introduction to WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST). WLST is a EXTREMELY COOL command-line scripting interface that system administrators and operators use to monitor and manage WebLogic Server instances and domains.

Both Novice and seasoned Web Logic Administrators will learn a trick or two...or three! So come learn something new or come and share your experience and knowledge about what works well (and what doesn't!).
